This is a painting in a series called "Fields of Flowers and this particular art work was inspired by photos taken on a trip up the Hume at the start of Autumn. Patches of grassland are dotted with grasses changing colour and little outgrowths of tiny flowers. The painting is an impression rather than a real view highlighting the brightness cast over the fields with bands of clouds streaking across the sky. The colours are from a blue green pallet with touches of mid yellow and red browns and the brush strokes creating a myriad of flowering grass shapes. This painting would add light and colour to any room in the home.
