Acrylic Paint on canvas

Signed with a certificate of authenticity

This painting depicts the story associated with her husband Jimmy Tchooga's Tjukurrpa (dreaming), given to Jimmy by his father. This story is set in Jimmy's traditional country of Tjukakarrinyu, east of Balgo in the Tanami Desert. The central weaving line represents the yam roots underground, where the two straight lines represent the wanna (stick) used for digging the yams. The circles are the sacred men's sites for digging the yams, women are not allowed to go here. The dotting surrounding the imagery represents the land around including bush tucker and sand hills.
