POP ART inspired painting based on plant studies of my local area. A few years ago I entered an art competition and had won an excellent guide book titled Noosa Native Plants by Stephanie Haslam. I wanted to depict these plants in an abstracted way and include the common and latin names. We live among some extraordinary plants and animals and unless we know their names we don't seem to value or really see them.
