Artwork Description

This painting was inspired by a line from a Haiku poem that I came across. The author is unknown. The words....distance and desire....were so powerfully evocative. I imagined a woman, separated from her lover, her nakedness representing her vulnerability as well as her willingness to give herself fully. The background suggests a vast desert or plain, an emptiness, whilst above the tormented figure, there is turmoil.

This painting is gallery wrapped and therefore does not necessarily need to be framed. It is ready to hang.
