This large piece depicts people in a crowded place; they go about their daily routines amongst and yet separate from one another. They are different in many ways: their values, their beliefs, the way they dress and how they dance. And yet they are also the same....they share their humanity, their experience of joy and sorrow. The depiction of shadows cast from one to another symbolises this connectedness and unity.
