Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Influence: A continuous body of water encircles the Earth. This mass of ocean is divided into five sections. As ocean currents shift and mingle, its not a definite line as is on land. There is however “Merging Oceans” where two oceans meet but do not merge. This is due to melting glaciers being composed of fresh water and the ocean has a higher percentage of salt causing the two bodies of ocean to have different densities and therefore making it more difficult to mix.

OCEANS CROSSING is my interpretation of the two salt water oceans merging and mingling together.

Specifications: Quality acrylics used giving long lasting rich pigmentation/lustre. Designed on acid free environmentally unbleached cotton duck, triple coated with universal primer, gallery style folded corners, heavy duty stretcher bars to reduce warping. Protective Matte Varnish applied.
