Influence:
Recognising Multiformity is a challenge we face each day. This bold abstract illustrates the diversity between such contrasting situations in quite opposing colours. Our ability to accept and adapt to situations we face each day has inspired this unique artwork.
My use of grey which lends itself as a cool, neutral and balanced colour. It’s associated with dull and dingy but is also renowned for its conservatism and sophistication.
The whites used are associated with light, goodness and purity and often considered to be the colour of perfection. As opposed to grey, white usually has a positive connotation.
The creams in this piece suggest quietness, calm and relaxing.
Other accent colours have been included to symbolise the struggles and successes we have while facing diversity.
The strong brushstrokes of deep greys are balanced with the softness of the whites and creams. Subtle lines and streaks adorn the canvas adding form and balance linking these wonderful colours together.
