Influence:
Few tropical flowers are as delicate and pure looking as the Frangipani. Swahili poets use it as a symbol of love, while Buddhist and Hindu followers consider it a sign of immortality and the continuation of the soul after death. It is said the oil from the flower helps relieve inflammation, headache, back pain and tinnitus. It is known for its moisturising effects, as it soothes dry and cracked skin, helping keep skin soft. Frangipani oil relaxes nerves and muscles, and has aphrodisiac, astringent and purifying properties.
This is my interpretation of this most gorgeous flower. I wanted this piece to be bold, bright and happy. I chose the frangipani for its gaiety, bright and very appealing qualities.
