This painting of Mt Barney in the South East corner of Queensland was inspired by an art exhibition in the Gold Coast hinterland where I wished to enter a work of the region. As I was not living in the region at the time, I used Google Earth as my reference image (hence the term 'Earthscape' in its title) for this aerial view of a township near the base of Mt. Barney. This painting won 1st Prize for Landscape at the Nundah Village Art Competition 2011.
