I have a beautiful what I call 'pom'pom' tree/shrub screening my bedroom window. It has brilliant red fluffy flowers and emerald green foliage, Calliandra haematocephala or Red Powderpuff, which attracts a great variety of birds to my bedroom window at different times of day. I call it 'my aviary'.
