Street art meets pop art in this nostalgic Astro Boy compilation! The legendary childhood character was the chosen inspiration for this piece, coupled with my favourite art tool for blast off! Depicting every childhood dream of having super powers - super strength, x-ray vision and the ability to fly, Astro Boy is one of the ultimate characters.

The fiery colours of his rocket jets dominate this painting completed on a raw plywood background. Twelve carefully sprayed layers produced by hours of hand cut stencils create a sharp image which is a welcoming contrast against the fine grain of the light wood panel made specifically by the artist.

The sheer size of this artwork (122cm x 810cm) makes it a massive conversation piece for any room and will be extremely comfortable in any setting. If your style is retro, then the rebirth of these Japanese Icons from the 1950's continue to be all the rage!
