His Neon Coat is a bold abstracted work with vivid colours and textured layers. The idea of the work is based on the ideology that we all, at times, wear metaphorical coats, to make us feel different, stronger, brave, to fit in, to be seen less, to be seen more, or anything in between. The symbol of the bull is pertinent to the idea that we may seem a certain way, be that strong or brave, yet underneath we may not feel that way at all. The use of relaxed thick acrylic and dripping aerosol contributes to the idea. Framed and finished in raw Tasmanian oak.
