I took a trip last year down to Raymond Island which is home to over 300 koalas. You can walk around the island during the day and spot gorgeous koalas resting in the forks of the large gum trees. In the evening, we had a local koala who would make his way through the backyard of the property and then across the front lawn, as if we were non-existent. These koala pieces are in honour of that special time and the paintings are from images I took. Mixed media is used to create textured layers and is finished and framed in raw Tasmanian oak.
