Another Kookaburra in my native bird series, this piece was inspired by a moment I witnessed recently. An early morning walk up to the studio with my coffee in hand was interrupted when I heard a kookaburra calling. I looked over to the tree that it was sitting in and as the morning neon sky was at its brightest it illuminated the white feather of the kookaburra giving it a neon glow. This work is highly textured, with layer upon layer built up to build the final working surface. Finished framed in raw Tasmanian Oak.
