These timber panels are pretty irresistible, so easy to paint on the floor or wall or table, and so hardy! As the layers of paint build up, almost sculptural textures appear, and inform the following layers and colours. The image that appeared reminded me of the tunnel at we often walked to from Currrarong on the NSW South Coast, just north of Jervis Bay. Landscape of massive cliffs and expanse of sea, hides secret places like this one. An awe-inspiring geological form, above sandstone cliffs, hollowed out over thousands of years, and overlooking the brilliant blue sea. Magic.
