FINALIST OIL PAINTING - ST KEVINS ART SHOW 2021

One of my personal favourites, this painting features my interpretation of a stunning swathe of 1960/70's upholstery fabric.

The still life in the foreground a stylised sprig of Red eucalyptus blossom in a very old poker work wooden vase. Inside the vase is a glass test tube that holds the water, its quite a special piece that some one from many years ago has lovingly turned on their lathe and burnt in a picture of a sailing ship to the front. A delightful discovery from a local opportunity shop!
