In my previous life as a vintage merchant I amassed a very large collection of vintage fabrics from all eras. I absolutely adore the designs of these old fabrics so am enjoying including them in the backgrounds of my still life paintings.

These white waratah flowers grow locally up on our mountain, they don't seem to mind the cold weather and our neighbour has a beautiful plant that fills with these glorious white truly Australian flowers each year. I have placed a carefully selected white flower in a retro vase and added some retro sheeting fabric design behind it. This fabric dates directly to the 1970's many a young person had these flat sheets on their bed in the day!
