My inspiration for this piece began with a little handmade, misshapen vase owned by my grandmother.
This small ceramic has a tiny chip around the stem, which to me, means not only well used, but well loved. This is the first time it has formed part of my art composition, it won't be the last. To me, it is perfect. Paired with a couple of other objects and blueberries being the match in colour the still life emerged. The orange provides a pop of contrasting colour.
