After having bush fires in the mid 90's. I noticed and heard the sound of a King parrot call. This was a new sound for the area I live in. I was feeding rainbow lorrikets and to my delight a king parrot came in to investigate a new food source. Over a long period of time I noticed females and on one occasion a young king parrot. This painting is the result of bush fires pushing king parrots from their original home.
