Living on the Murrumbidgee river was the inspiration for this painting.
The eucalypts that line the bank stand tall in their glory, telling a story of the land, the animals and the changing parameters of fire, flood and drought.
The sunset behind the trees is a colourful backdrop which reflects on the river.
I painted plein Air onto paper to get the collage pieces which started this piece.
Dribbling of ink and charcoal line marking add interest amongst the acrylic layers.
Framed with white floating frame and ready to hang.
