Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Another favourite spot, The Pass, Byron Bay, usually very crowded but on this day just two figures enjoying the coolness of the water. I have focused on the dark reflections, the lightness of the sky and the different blues of the sea.

Pandanus palm with sunlit leaves and curving branches, reaching out over the curling waves in the aqua ocean below.Light behind the top of a breaking wave with foam trails in the water below, and a distant view of the Lover's Point Headland at Yamba. It is a moody overcast day and a woman in a blue dress is enjoying the feel of the shallow water around her ankles as she paddles in the small waves near the shore. Behind her is a rocky platform with a hint of green seaweed along the top of the rocks. This painting depicts a flowing waterfall cascading down the leafy rocks in Lamington National Park. There is a cool feeling in the shadows and the light catches on the top of the waterfall and in the ripples below.
