Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

On a recent visit to Hobart I saw these lovely boatsheds painted in different colours on the edge of Cornelian Bay. The reflections and shadows from the sheds made the water so vibrant and the light from the sky made the water sparkle. It was such a lovely spot I just wanted to paint it.
The painting is on a thin-edge canvas. It has a cord on the back so is ready to hang, but would be enhanced with a lovely frame.

It is a moody overcast day and a woman in a blue dress is enjoying the feel of the shallow water around her ankles as she paddles in the small waves near the shore. Behind her is a rocky platform with a hint of green seaweed along the top of the rocks. This painting depicts a flowing waterfall cascading down the leafy rocks in Lamington National Park. There is a cool feeling in the shadows and the light catches on the top of the waterfall and in the ripples below.Back view of a lady in a red swimsuit standing by the ocean baths at Yamba, perhaps deciding whether to take a dip.three girls relaxing beside the ocean baths at Yamba
