Artwork Description

I love to paint the patterns, light and shadows of the pandanus palms that are such a familiar sight on the coast of Queensland and northern NSW. This little subject is on the coastal walk at Burleigh Heads on a sunny day. The painting is varnished and framed as shown, ready to hang.

#Pandanus coast sea beach rocks seascape

All art by Anne Strambi

It is a moody overcast day and a woman in a blue dress is enjoying the feel of the shallow water around her ankles as she paddles in the small waves near the shore. Behind her is a rocky platform with a hint of green seaweed along the top of the rocks. This painting depicts a flowing waterfall cascading down the leafy rocks in Lamington National Park. There is a cool feeling in the shadows and the light catches on the top of the waterfall and in the ripples below.Back view of a lady in a red swimsuit standing by the ocean baths at Yamba, perhaps deciding whether to take a dip.three girls relaxing beside the ocean baths at Yamba
