I am fascinated by colour, pattern and texture and wanted the challenge of presenting a repetitive image that conveyed movement. My School of Fish is a result of creating patterned hand painted papers and printing a hand cut Lino image onto these papers. I then cut each fish and mounted them onto a canvas I painted with my fingers to convey the dappled lights and colours of water.
