Artwork Description

Essence is a brand new collection of large scale paintings that I have been working on for the past 2 years. The series is a journey and exploration of finding oneself again, after wondering where ‘I’ went and why I was lost. Joy, strength and clarity of vision. The paintings celebrate my innate knowledge and resolution that painting is my life passion and the essence of who I am.

'A definitive existence. My journey as an artist, delving deeper and deeper'.

'Let It Be' is a beautifully balanced painting. The large areas of white canvas contrast beautifully with the striking black. This painting explores the notion of not trying too hard to make something happen, rather let it be and see what destiny will bring to you. The two break away shapes symbolise a freedom and detachment from things that may hold you back, and visualise the opportunity to dream and the opportunity for anything.
