This work was completed after my wedding in May 2017 after returning from my honeymoon in the Caribbean. Upon our return we received our wedding video and photos and through them I relived one of the best days of my life. “The musicians” is inspired by the happiness and music that was present on that day.
If you look closely there are 4 figures. A singer, guitarist, saxophonist and cellist. The colours are bright and intense. I chose the colours intentionally as they are also very calming and whilst painting I was also thinking of the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean.
