This work is inspired by the feeling I get with sunsets, the transitional image produces transitional moods, while the sunset is bright and colourful the feeling is joyful and as it fades one's mood becomes more sombre . Its a beautiful feeling and its called the rising. Painted in the style of abstract expressionism.

I like using acrylics as the colours blend so well together.

This work is painted on heavy weight Holncorp Gallery linen canvas and has been sealed with varnish. The canvas is stretched onto a frame being 104 cm in height by 41 cm width.

This work was created in July 2017.

In my paintings, I use finest quality professional Liquitex acrylic paints, gallery canvas. The painting was sprayed with a glaze of varnish.
