Artwork Description

Acrylic on stretched canvas, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This piece is response to the common daisy. A well known flower it tends not to be popular as it grows wild, on the side of the road and in open fields. It is usually regarded as being common and not well regarded. However songs are written about her- as the name sake suggests - also girls are named after her. So this is my contribution to making this well known but disregarded flower something "special"!

This piece is an abstracted still life painted in oils. it would look good in a kitchen or dining room. It ha a white frame and ready to hang. This work is a contemporary view of the lotus and its cultural tags. Serenity, calmness as well as a transparency of thought and deed! The petals are numerous as they radiate love and understanding. The liquid gold are a token to the numerous Buddhist temples that are covered with gold, as a sign of reverence. The flower is a symbol of many human emotional offerings. " I have offered this flower as one that portrays the truth through the weaving of strong silken threads.
