Have you noticed that when old trees are past sprouting leaves, the get that weathered look. The bark, the branches tell of past storms, floods and winds, making them a receptacle of a life past. The way they lean this way or that and with grim determination, remain upright waiting to be immortalized. Trees are one of my favorite subjects.
