Created in response to the Artist in residence program, facilitated by SALA, University of South Australia and Country Health SA.

Saltwater (Tears) represents a link between the uniquley human emotion of crying, and the ocean.

The ocean is life-giving, both above and beneath the surface. Many ancient polynesian myths centre aound the sea and link the tears of demi gods to the creation of the ocean.

Painting is ready to hang and framed in white oak.
