Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
I was out on a roadtrip recently and saw some vintage Michelin Man signs at a service station, and instantly knew I had to paint him. As always with this kind of pop imagery, I wanted to subvert the original in a humorous or surrealistic way. The text suggests that the Michelin Man will do more harm than good, something we see many examples of in recent history.
The surface of the painting is quite textured, and is built up of multiple layers of paint. The sides of the canvas are painted, and it's ready to be hung without framing. The painting has a glossy varnish.
A colourful pop art image that will look great on any wall!
