Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
In 2020 I created a range of pop art paintings for the Ovolo South Yarra hotel, with imagery of 1970s and 1980s icons. This painting is a combination of several of those images, a kind of medley or remix. For this painting I chose a Pacman ghost, the Michelin Man, the cover of A Clockwork Orange, and David Bowie, each an iconic picture, spliced together in a style reminiscent of James Rosenquist's mashups of the 1960s. The four sections are tied together by my signature rectangular patches and by the splashes of paint over the surface.
The canvas is high quality, with heavy stretcher bars and deep edges. The sides are painted, and it is ready to hang without needing to be framed. The painting is sealed with a gloss varnish.
This series has been featured in articles in Broadstreet and the Daily Telegraph. The artwork is a fun, bold and nostalgic painting that will liven up any room.
