Artwork Description

Wirrabirra is a painting showing the southern river that ran behind my primary school in Gosnells Western Australia. The schools name Wirrabirra means trees by running water in Nyoongar. The painting shows the river in greens and browns as it’s very muddy and merky. The land shows the trees as dotted and the other areas between the vegetation. This is a river I spent a lot of time exploring as a child whilst growing up.
