This striking painting was inspired by the colours of Rastafari: with red being the blood of man, green is land and gold for wealth (or greed). Black too is often found which represents the skin colour of Africans but I changed this to blue for water, vital for life and to encompass all of mankind. Liquid acrylic on stretched canvas with gold leaf foil. This painting would look stunning in any setting and any room! The sides have been painted black, throwing all attention to the front of the painting, making it 'pop'!
