Ever spent a day on a isthmus... a strip of sand or rocky land between 2 bodies of water? Surrounded by the shifting tides? This is my ode to Australian holidays at the beach... a popular sunburnt carefree time of my childhood. Fishing, swimming, eating sandwiches that really were "sand"wiches.... having to move your stuff as the tide crept up threatening to steal it all. And do you remember how you'd go back later in the holiday & be disappointed that your Isthmus paradise was covered by the tide?
