I just love the image of wisteria in full flower. It gives me the most homely‚ yet melancholic feeling. Perhaps it's the way the blooms hang in masses‚ plump pendulums in their beautiful soft purple tones.
This painting was inspired by the beauty of wisteria. My canvas was primed with collage of handmade paper‚ machine stitched with cotton. This gave me a highly textured board to begin. Painted in acrylics and highly glossed‚ ready to hang.
