I have had this timber panel for quite some time and would often pick it up and add coloured glazes and small marks, not quite sure where it would take me. I ended up with so many layers of lettering and the eventual addition of gold leaf gave the board another dimension. It seemed to be the perfect backdrop for my cherry blossom pot, which seemed to come from nowhere! I really enjoyed allowing the piece to just develope organically, rather than being planned. Acrylic and gold leaf on timber, signed, sealed and ready to hang.
