This painting was influenced by my travels throughout Asia, where bamboo has so many purposes in every day life. This fast growing tropical plant is used as a building material and as scaffolding but also in gardens as a decorative screen. I love the way bamboo has interesting natural join lines and textures, not to mention the lovely lush green foliage and I find it to be a great subject to paint or draw. Framed in a rustic timber black box frame measuring (43.5 x 53.5 x 3.5cm)
