Artwork Description

Acrylic on wood

Signed on the back.

I am really starting to appreciate Victorian architecture, in particular the converted corner stores which are like little gems to find in the quiet back streets. I like to take a closer look at the gorgeous fading facades and try to piece together the changes they have undergone in their lifetimes.

I am planning to paint a few of these, none of which will be directly inspired by one building but more the collective whole of this interesting social history.

Acrylic on cradled wood panel, with the sides painted white and dark blue to complement the painting.
