Photograph on paper
Signed and numbered on the front.
This image has been compiled from a few images taken while visiting one of the last remaining stands of mature Cider Gum Trees in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. These trees are dying, but they still create an aura of of uniqueness - like something you have never encountered before. This image captures the fullness of the tree. I matched this fullness photographically by constructing the tree shape around the square format.
The images for this photograph were shot on a Sony RX10 camera and edited using Photoshop and Lightroom. The print is from a collection of digital files that are printed using archival quality inks on acid free paper made from 100% cotton fibres. The printer is large format that take archival quality inks. With 8-10 printer ink cartridges the printer is able to deliver a depth of colour that becomes inherent in the printing process.
