The ocean covers most of our planet's surface and its color makes our planet known as the blue planet because of how it looks from outer space.. It is home for so many forms of life starting from the smallest to some of the largest known on earth. Ocean currents also help to keep our planet's temperature stable. Powerful ocean currents and waves are entertaining for some (surfing)‚ they sculpture our shorelines but at the same time destructive. Unfortunately our oceans are also being destroyed by pollution and over fishing‚ which could have detrimental effects on life on earth including humans.
