I was always amazed by the size of these magnificent gum trees found all around this country. This painting was inspired by one of these gum trees down the road from where I live. Compared to the houses around them they are at least 5 times higher. In this painting I placed this tree against an imaginary landscape with a path taking you from the foreground to the house.
The painting was painted using brush and palette knife for detail and more structured paint.
