When I lived in Cairns I had a huge garden which involved a lot of work, but also gave us a lot of pleasure. I was always able to go out and gather a huge bunch of flowers for the kitchen dresser or the centrepiece at a dinner party. On my dresser I had a large collection of blue and white china collected on journeys we had taken to Portugal, Greece and Holland. So the blue and white jug is a piece painted from similar items in that collection and the flowers are a bunch of flowers from a temperate garden in memory what you can do when you have a large flower garden.
