Part of my Australian Bird Series I was drawn to paint a Kingfisher because of its electric vibrant blues. Such a stunning beautiful bird. This guy was ordered to be part of a set. Heavy textures are used to create the leaves, background and feathers for a 3D feel. A modern - abstract take.
