Urban Pop mixed media Painting. This work is made using Street Posters & other Recycled Materials, itS mainly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways and Billboards.

The collage was built up using paint and paper, then the main image of The Madonna was painted onto the perspex and sections of that were etched. A style of graffiti you would see on public transport windows.

This work was also inspired by Mexican Art and Outsider Art, and has Religious Iconography and Advertising as its central theme.

The Painting in a recycled black Frame that has also been hand painted & the work is mounted under a clear perspex sheet.

This work has multiple layers of paint & paper built up to create a thick textured look, including bumps, lumps of paint and rips that become part of the overall street art/ abstract effect.
