One lazy morning I drove to Lake Illawarra, set up my easel and did a plein air painting of Kanahooka Bay with Saddleback Mountain in the distance. The sun was shining and people were enjoying their walks, riding and boating. Pelicans came to the area in expectation of a feed from fishermen. I used a varied pallet to capture the depth, perspective and the relaxed mood of the day.
