Artwork Description

This attractive little flycatcher is common in some areas usually in woodland near water. It's song is remarkable and is commonly likened to that of the English Skylark - praise indeed! The English Skylark was introduced to Australia in the 1850's and 1860's and is common in Tasmania. This particular flycatcher was spotted around the estuary of the Crookhaven River in the Shoalhaven area of NSW.
