Artwork Description

Mixed Media on stretched canvas, ready to hang.

Signed certificate of authenticity.

More and more cars coming towards me on the roads whilst I drive appear to me to look like Star Wars designs. I’m wondering if these car designers were fans of the films when they were kids and now these devotees are revealing the influence of the Star Wars design aesthetic. I was pondering on what type of car a Storm Trooper might buy; what would they find fitting and if they might be drawn to vehicles that shared some of their design attributes. I brushed the paint onto this artwork nice and thick. When you get up close you can see the blobs and globs of paint but when you step back the painting merges together and makes an engaging piece of artwork.

Absurd art that looks at the strange incidents that one encounters from time to time This artwork brings everyday, non – artwork objects together where they acquire strong, symbolic meanings within the context of the whole work. I like the way the pieces contribute to the composition yet still retain their original identity. I feel that in some ways this sculptural technique of organizing into a unified whole a group of unrelated and often fragmentary or discarded objects is a powerful metaphor of how people from various cultures and walks of life can be bought together and live harmoniously as a whole.
