This painting was a finalist in the Art Renewal Centre International Salon 2019 & published in the ARC Salon book, it was also exhibitedt in the Lethbridge 20000 Prize, and Percival Portrait Prize.
In this self portrait I invite the viewer to look, presenting myself as an object in a still life to be observed. It presents my sense of vulnerability as an artist, the challenge of painting about my thoughts, feelings & life - and the unease at letting them be seen by an audience.
