Most of my paintings are in some way inspired by nature. In particular, I love trees. This painting was inspired by time spent in the Flinders Ranges, specifically Brachina Gorge - one of those magical places any time of the day or season with changing hues of pinks, reds, purples.
This painting has a number of layers so parts of it, including the trees, have been scraped back to expose the under layers and then coated in gloss varnish.
